“ Astounding authentic Italian cuisine at Cesarina! The service was excellent, very attentive, friendly and professional. Beautiful ambiance indoors and outdoors. The outdoor dining is dog friendly. We started with delicious cocktails, the carcifone and belli tucci. We had the carpaccio de cesarina for an appetizer, and the Paccheri vodka scampi and pollo alla scarpariella for entrees. Everything was great but the Paccheri vodka scampi was especially delicious, very creamy and rich flavors and loved the langoustine. Definitely recommend! ”
“ Top notch Italian food. Nice, intimate setting. Attentive and professional service. Super fresh ingredients and hand made pasta as you would expect. The melon and prosciutto salad was a really nice surprise. An amazing culinary mix of ingredients that blew our minds! ”
“ What a fabulous evening at Cesarina!! Family time spent laughing and sharing at an intimate table with special attention to detail! Started off with a perfect paired wine and added muscles! Yum! The ravolli with spinach and special Norma sauce was spectacular! And the birthday party was complete with a dessert finger!! Sans the coffee!! lol ”
“ the food was delicious! I got the vegan mushroom pasta and was so surprised by how creamy it was. since becoming dairy free, I just avoid Italian restaurants altogether but I decided to give this menu a try and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I also loved that we get a full menu, not just one dish with no love. my friends got dishes from the regular menu and raved about their dishes as well. we did not like the Brussels sprout salad— we felt it was more raw than we’d like, but the flavors were excellent. the service was great, we weren’t able to get a reservation so they had us set up in a waiting area after waiting outside for about 20. weeks did end up waiting an hour and a half in total on a Tuesday evening, but they provided water, drinks, and three different types of focaccia (the garlic and the tomato??? chefs kiss!) with sauce. definitely come on a night when you can get a reservation. our waiter was lovely and helped me choose my pasta, made great recommendations, and was attentive. I had a great experience and will be coming back for my Italian fix every chance I get. ”
“ Food/service was amazing. Our server explained the menu to us in great detail. They have an entire vegan section on the menu. The only non pork option they had for meat was the beef meatballs and they were just ok. I’d recommend the funghi sauce with the gemelli pasta. It held a lot of the sauce! ”
“ Cesarina is a beautiful restaurant in San Diego that specializes in homemade pasta and creative Italian dishes. The staff is wonderful and gave us great suggestions on pasta combinations and other sides! Great restaurant to go to with friends or a family gathering. My favorite dish of the night was the Polpo Croccante, the honey glazed crispy octopus was amazing and the romesco sauce was perfect to dip the octopus in. My favorite pasta was the gnocchi which was served in a creamy light truffle sauce. The hand rolled gnocchi was also the perfect consistency. The vodka sauce on the Vodka Scampi is another favorite of ours! Very good trip, will be going again! ”
“ My husband and I had a wonderful dinner date here and I cannot recommend it enough! The atmosphere and the vibe are so unique and fun. All of the details, from the plates to the bags to the aesthetics are all so thoughtful. The food was delicious. I had gluten-free pasta and it was one of the best I have ever had. The service was wonderful and the staff was so attentive and kind. They had heaters and hot water bags for us to stay warm, I would say the only downside is the parking can be a bit tricky but I do think they have valet if you are in a pinch! ”
“ First time here after seeing many positive reviews for celiac diners who have to eat gluten free. I also need to be dairy free and egg free and that had a generous selection of vegan items so I had high hopes for a good experience. They met my expectations! The sever made me feel comfortable right away when I let him know my needs. He directed me to the 2 gf pasta choices and the vegan sauces. They even had bread I could eat with their amazing tomato sauce. It’s been years since I’ve been able to have bread in a restaurant with my family. The pasta even held up to being reheated for leftovers without falling apart- bravo!!! ”
